Dear
Parents,
It’s
hard to believe we’re almost at the end of the school year. We’ve had a lot of
fun. I hope the children learned something along the way. This will be my last
newsletter. I would like to thank all of you for your support, interest, and
thoughtfulness.
At this
time of the school year most of the glue sticks are pretty well used up. Please ask your child if he/she needs a new gluestick to finish out the year. Thank you.
Our
Letter People for May include Miss K who has a Kaboom
Kick, Miss Y who does Yodeling Yawns, Mr. Q with Quiet Questions, and Mr. X who is
Different. We will do simple addition
and subtraction in Math this month.
We will
be having our annual Letter People Day on, Friday, May 23rd. Each child will
choose a letter out of a hat, and I will send home a note to let you know which
letter was picked. I’m asking you to help your child dress like the chosen
Letter Person, to know the letter’s name and three words that begin with that
letter. We will be visiting several other classrooms to share our Letter
People. PLEASE DON’T BUY ANYTHING FOR A COSTUME! I’m encouraging your child and you to use creativity
and come up with a fun outfit.
I am
encouraging the children to read simple stories to me, and then I will send
them home to be read to you. Please take a few minutes to listen to their
reading. They are very proud when they can read to Mom or Dad. The stories should come back to school the
very next day. Thanks!
Thanks so much for a wonderful year!
